Description
Another ISO setting comparison. Same setup as before, except this time with a night time scene to see if the difference in shutter speeds and noise gets more pronounced.
Top left: ISO-80, 1 second exposure time
Top middle: ISO-100, 1 second exposure time
Top right: ISO-200, 1 second exposure time
Bottom left: ISO-400, 0.6 exposure time
Bottom middle: ISO-800, 1/3 exposure time
Bottom right: ISO-1600, 1/10 exposure time
I suspect 1 second is the maximum exposure time my camera will use without manually setting exposure time...
Once again, with this camera the ISO-400 and higher, while having a much shorter exposure time, start to get too grainy for more than snapshots. There's obviously a limit to the level of light the camera can pick up. I hope to try for a star view the next clear night I'm not working so I can test this further.
